![]() Kapitanleutnant Paul Brasack *Signature Value : £75 (matted) | Paul Brasack joined the German Navy in 1937, although he served with the Luftwaffe until 1942. He served for one tour with U-590 before taking command of U-737. In 1944 he became a training officer until the end of the war. He subsequently spent two years in Allied captivity, but later re-joined the post-war German Navy, serving until his retirement in 1974. Awarded the Knight's Cross, he died on 11th March 2013 aged 96. |
