DHM1879. On Top of the World by Ray Goldsbrough. <p> Jenson Button winning the 2009 Monaco Grand Prix. Driving for the Brawn GP team Jenson dominated the first half of the season winning six of the opening seven races of the campaign. This early season form gave Jenson a significant lead in the Drivers Championship which was ultimately too much for his rivals to overturn.  The 2009 season was not only a memorable one for Jenson Button but also for his team Brawn GP. In what later transpired to be their only season as an independent team in Formula One, Brawn GP created history by winning both the Drivers and Constructors Championships at the first attempt. Driving for the Brawn team in their first and only season in the sport as an independent team, his early season domination proved too much for his rivals to overcome and he claimed the Drivers Championship with a race to spare. With his team-mate Rubens Barrichello, he also secured the Constructors Championship for the team - a historic double for a debutant team.

Born in 1971, David Coulthard is the most successful Formula One driver to come out of Scotland in recent memory. In a career spanning the years 1994 to 2008, and after driving for three different teams, he had racked up 13 Formula One victories, including two wins at his home nation Grand Prix at Silverstone and two more at Monaco, his residency. Since retiring from racing in 2008, David Coulthard has worked as a pundit for the BBC, providing expert analysis for their television coverage of the Formula One season.
